Meet Emily
Spin & Sparkle was founded by Emily Moncrieff, a local mum of three who knows all too well how overwhelming the laundry load can get when you’re juggling family life and work.
In an attempt to keep up with the never-ending washing, Emily even invested in two washing machines at home. But it still wasn’t enough. Then, during a caravanning trip with her family, she stumbled upon a local laundromat – and everything changed. She was able to wash and dry multiple loads in under an hour, and instantly fell in love with the convenience and the social connection it brought, which completely transformed the way she approached laundry.
For the past two years, Emily has relied on laundromats both at home and while travelling. This shift freed up precious time – allowing her to be more present in her day-to-day life, attend her children’s sporting activities, and find a little extra time for herself too.
With her nursing background, Emily has always had a strong focus on supporting community wellbeing. She wanted to create a space that not only brought convenience, but also connection – a place where people could step out of their homes, socialise, and feel part of something local and uplifting.
This is why Emily created Spin & Sparkle to be more than just a laundromat – it’s a welcoming, thoughtfully designed space for everyone to use.
